TWO-ZERO-TWO-ZERO was a year filled with surprises. Sorry to bother you, I meant 2020. Thank God we pulled through. In the midst of all the happenings, it is very important to pause and evaluate how the year was beyond the COVID-19 buzz.

I am writing this piece to help you prepare for 2021. I will simply be facilitating a review and retrospective session for the time spent in 2020. You must have this conversation with yourself.

WHAT TO DO NEXT?

You know what?

Just imagine that I am in a room in front of you with a couple of other people facilitating this review session. Please pick your pen and notepad before you continue reading this post because you will need them.

What were your aspirations at the beginning of 2020?

We all got into the new year pumped up with a lot of desire, aspiration, plans, resolutions, and all the VISION 2020. What were the clear things you entered into 2020 to achieve?

What goals did you set?

Did you carefully craft out a goal for all your 2020 aspirations? If you didn’t, It might be the reason some of your aspirations did not see the light of day. If you did, write down the goals you set or if you have it written, pull it out from where it is.

Which of your goals did you accomplish?

Please highlight the goals you already accomplished if you have it written down and if you don’t, you can write it down now (I mean the goals you accomplished).

What did you put on your vision board?

This is a good time to bring out your vision board. Carefully look through all you envisioned, did you bring them to life?

What bad experiences did you have?

2020 had clouds with a silver lining. What were the clouds you experienced?
Kindly write it exhaustively.

What role did it play in affecting the accomplishment of your goal?

State how the bad experiences affected the accomplishment of your goal.

What bad experiences were you responsible for?

In all sincerity, write down your actions or inactions that are responsible for the bad experiences.

Did you cancel some of your goals along the way?

This is simply a polar question, all you have to write is Yes/No.

If you canceled any of your goals, write down the reason you did.
There are a couple of reasons we could have canceled our goals. I canceled about two of my goals as well, I will tell you the reason in subsequent posts, stay tuned!

What lessons did you learn in between?

Please write this in a list format. You can write as much as you remember.

Do you feel unfulfilled?

Yes/No

Can we start all over again?

What do you want in 2021?

If you have carefully gone through this and answered all the questions, you would have evaluated the lessons learned all through the year 2020 and then come up with the strategy for the new year.

Feel free to share the outcome of your session with me via mail at higrowthdriver@gmail.com

See you in 2021!
